It is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Casco Communications, which was formed in 1992 by the union of three local utility cooperatives: Pioneer Consolidated, Consumers Power, Inc. and Blachley-Lane Electric. Blachley-Lane later sold it’s share of the company to the other two partners and, in 2006, Stayton Cooperative Telephone Company became the new, third owner of Casco Communications.
PEAK Internet's commitment to community support and customer service complements the parent cooperatives' mission. With nearly a century of service the utility cooperatives represent long-term stability and insurance that PEAK Internet's mission of providing excellent service locally will remain just that, friendly and local.
PEAK Internet access services include high-speed DSL and local dial-up for communities throughout Oregon and nationwide. PEAK provides ISP services for high-speed DSL in Qwest, Pioneer and Century Tel exchanges.
Casco Communications complements its parent cooperatives' expertise in energy and telecommunications, by offering local Internet access (PEAK) and propane distribution (CoEnergy). Casco adopted Pioneer Telephone's Internet service business (pioneer.net) in 1992 and has expanded it to serve communities throughout Oregon.
